An Amazing Artist to Share

I found this artist while reading Une Envie de Sel.
Jeanne-Ming was kind enough to share her painting process with me, it involves drywall compound and carving and I can't wait to try it myself!
I hope you like her work as much as I do.

How interesting. Drywall compound is pretty soft when it cures. I can see how you could carve it. I've tried using it through stencils but never went further. Thanks Jeanne and Julie. Love seeing new ideas and finding new artists.

oh one more thing....what I love about drywall is that it does take time to "set" long after you have finished your work it gets really hard, but during the process (sometimes almost four months for me if I am traveling or busy) it has enough play to sand and etch and change it. I love this medium because it is perfect for my style and also my schedule....and if you mess up....just re-mud.....

I re mud a lot....
