News

Thank you to all who have inquired about where I have disappeared to...
We have had our 18 month old grandson for 24 days, and before that we had him a lot. That means, although my life is full of happy baby screams and laughter, tickling and kisses, there is not much time for creativity, hence, not much of an art life.
We took our house off the market and had to adopt out our beloved greyhound because she was not trustworthy around him full time.
I did paint something the other day when I took him to daycare for a much needed break, and it made me so happy to paint again, I know I am going to have to find a way to keep doing that.
Thank you for caring about me and my art and for writing and letting me know. It means a lot.

What a happy surprise to find you at the top of my Reading List on my Dashboard. I missed you along with everyone else and am glad you're back. Beautiful painting. It makes me see sunny summer days.

Good to see you got some time to your self and for painting... I have been in the same shoe, however not due to kids but rather crazy life and work : ) I really like the painting, very bright and happy and different (meaning, I like that you didnt just stick to flowers but had fun with it). Graet work!

Great to enjoy the grandson, but no art?! Oh, dear! I just moved your/my painting to another wall. Trying to find a space with more light, where I can see my "flower woman" more often. Still love it. Changes, accommodations, inflexibility ... that's the way life is sometimes. Stay well!

I suddenly (or should I say "only now") noticed that you were gone from Facebook and went to look for you around the Web. Miss you! Glad you are ok!

I'm sort of taking time off from painting too. Life stepped in, bringing too many changes too quickly, and with all the going-on's I just couldn't stop long enough to "feel" creative or to even want to. I'm finding it kind of nice to take time off one thing...it seems that it simmers and who knows what's gonna come out when you finally get to sit down again....

i'm so glad you're staying busy with the things you love, whether they take the shape of a canvas or an energetic almost 2 year old :)

HI Julie
Just reading your post. I am alittle behind to say the least. So glad to see you are ALIVE! I have missed you and your paintings. You keep me inspired so don't go away for long. A two year old is draining, I am tired for just thinking about it. Glad you had time to move some paint around and it's truley what I picture you lifestyle is right now. The beautiful flowers mixed in with craziness. Love it!
In friendship
laura.
