This painting is SOLD
This painting has gone through some rough times. I had sketched it maybe two years ago, but just could not figure out what to do with the background. Yesterday, while working on a big embellished print for a client, I was inspired by Pam Garrison who was inspired by Alisa Burke. Also by Mary Ann Moss and her lovely journal pages too. I guess it takes a village to make a painting sometimes. Suddenly, I knew exactly what to do. I had been doodling on a brown paper tablet with ink and colored pencils (sadly, no big packages have come for me lately wrapped in brown paper) and trying to come up with some new flowers, and there they were. Those pink and white bell flowers are very like Pam's, but I hope she does not mind, I adore them. The muses are in my old style of face, but they did not want to change, so I left them as my original sketch. The original painting is available on etsy.
Edit: Ha! I just realized I had 3 muses for this painting!

Wow! Love it!!!
Another pretty painting!
Hello lovely ladies! They look gorgeous, don't they? Your 'sad faces' are totally magnetic to look at, Julie... and I can't figure out why, but I LOVE the blue that keeps reappearing in your art! (^_^)
I have a freind jolee jane pollack that has a site called Art takes a village. She does charity work workshops. Now I get the name. You are right so many influences come in to being when we create something. Thanks for that reminder.
