Week 24 Ode to Lempicka and Klimt and Giveaway

I lazily decided to make the Lempicka/Klimt painting the print for this week.
I have done some other originals this week but everyone liked that painting so much.

An ode to Lempicka and Klimt

I'm taking an online course from Suzi Blu, and this is one of my projects. Of course, it's nothing like what she asked for, but the girl is done in colored pencil, and I worked on using layers. I thought the girl looked sort of Lempicka-ish, and I got the abstract background idea from Klimt. I'm sure he won't mind. Also the two leaves were inspired by Maria Pace Wynters.

My stupid root canal is still hurting, my cheek is yellow and swollen and I feel crappy. I am done with the antibiotics tomorrow, and will see the dentist again tomorrow. I am so worried that we are still not done with this. UGH!

Week 23 Limited Edition Print 5x7 Shipwrecked

I'm late with the print this week. I had a rough week, The worst part was another root canal on that same tooth,(#3) through the gum, too terrible to even describe, really. I have seven stitches in my gum. 'nuff said?

I really struggled with this painting. It was suggested by Micki Wilde.

I did the sketch while we were camping a couple weeks ago, but the girls face just would not come out. I finally realized that I was painting a happy face when there should be some concern on her face. I think it should be really called, "The Lighthouse Keepers Daughter, 2"

Anyway, I hope I will feel better this week and my print will be up at the regular time next week. Plus, there will be a giveaway next week.

Week 22 52 Week Print Project Julie Fillo Farm Wedding

This painting was suggested by Chloe.

The original is painted on 9x12 muslin and sealed. There are 9- 5x7 prints available in my etsy shop for $2 for a limited time. The tenth one is for Chloe who suggesting the painting.

I have not shipped week 21 prints yet, I will ship them all this week.

This is probably only earthshattering to me, but I will be posting week 21 print on Wednesday, because we are leaving for a camping trip tomorrow, no internet. I hope you all can restrain yourself from freaking out... :)
I hope to get a lot of little paintings done this weekend, so I can concentrate on some larger paintings when we get home for a show I'm doing December. I'm taking my list of all your great ideas.
